Trustee - Board Member (Voluntary Position)
Crossroads Care Kent is recognised as the pre-eminent charity supporting unpaid Carers throughout Kent and Medway. Established for over 40 years the charity is looking to recruit a trustee to join our Board to help steer the charity through the next stage of its development.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a role in leading a dynamic, effective organisation to deliver vital services at the heart of our community.
As a charity trustee, along with other board members, you will be responsible for the ultimate leadership of the charity, ensuring good governance and prudent financial management. You will be joining an existing group of trustees with a wide range of professional skills and experience, and supported by a motivated, skilled and hardworking executive staff team so good communication skills are important.
This is a voluntary role requiring a minimum commitment of at least 6 board meetings a year (usually 2-3 hours in duration), plus some time spent responding to communications and reading and considering papers along with ad hoc meetings as required. Board meetings are generally held at either our Wateringbury or Herne Bay offices on an alternating basis.
We are seeking people with an interest in the charity/ voluntary sector, with some experience within business, voluntary or public sector. Experience and/or knowledge of the issues faced by carers is desirable.
If you are interested, please get in touch and know that diversity, equity and inclusion are at the heart of what we value at Crossroads.
